PRISTINA — The Football Federation of Kosovo has publicly responded to recent allegations of match fixing, announcing that it has launched the relevant disciplinary procedures. According to Telegrafi, the FFK confirmed that state institutions, including law enforcement bodies, will also be informed about the matter.

The federation stressed it has zero tolerance for any phenomenon that undermines the integrity of national competitions and that existing regulations provide for severe sanctions for such offences. Investigations will examine every published piece of information and will require concrete evidence.

The FFK reaction comes after a period in which the topic of integrity in domestic football has been at the centre of public debate, with supporters demanding maximum transparency. The federation called on media to cooperate but also to be careful with unverified information.

A call for sporting ethics

Beyond administrative measures, the FFK underlined the importance of continuous education for players, coaches and officials regarding sporting ethics and the dangers of contact with third parties. Specific programmes will continue in cooperation with UEFA and FIFA.

Superliga clubs have been invited to cooperate proactively by sharing any information that could assist the process. Despite the intensity of the title race, the federation guarantees that no violation will be left unaddressed institutionally.

FFK representatives said the credibility of Kosovan football is sacred and that anyone attempting to damage it will face the strictest possible measures within the regulatory framework.

Fans and the wider football community are now waiting for the procedures to advance with pace and seriousness, so that trust in domestic competitions is not damaged in the long term.
